How do you create a wedding that feels elegant, relaxed, and completely unforgettable? For Joséphine and Valentin, the answer was simple: gather the people they love, choose one of Provence's most beautiful vineyard venues, and let the day unfold naturally.

By the end of June, Provence is bursting with life.

The vineyards glow beneath the afternoon sun, cicadas fill the warm air, and long evenings seem to stretch forever. It is the season when outdoor celebrations feel effortless, dinners continue long after sunset, and no one wants the night to end.

That was exactly the atmosphere Joséphine and Valentin envisioned when they chose Domaine Les Mûriers for their destination wedding in Provence.

Surrounded by family and lifelong friends, they created a celebration that felt joyful, vibrant, and deeply personal—everything we love about photographing and filming weddings in the South of France.

A Wedding Venue Surrounded by Vineyards

Nestled in the heart of Provence, Domaine Les Mûriers is one of those wedding venues that immediately feels welcoming.

The estate is surrounded by vineyards, with generous outdoor spaces that naturally encourage guests to move between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception without ever feeling rushed. During the afternoon, everyone gathered around the swimming pool with a glass of champagne, while the vineyards just beyond the gardens quietly waited for sunset.

One of the reasons we love returning to Domaine Les Mûriers as a Provence wedding photographer and videographer team is the incredible variety it offers within a single venue.

In just one day, you can move from elegant indoor preparations to a historic church ceremony, relaxed poolside cocktails, golden vineyard portraits, and a lively outdoor reception beneath the stars—all without losing the relaxed atmosphere that makes Provence so special.

A Calm Beginning Before the Celebration

The morning began quietly inside the estate.

Music played softly in the background while windows were left open to welcome the warm June air. Bridesmaids moved between rooms helping with the final touches, laughter echoed through the house, and excitement slowly built with every passing minute.

These quieter moments are often the first chapter of every wedding story.

One last look in the mirror.

As photographers and videographers, we rarely interrupt these moments. Instead, we simply observe. They are often the memories couples don't realise they'll treasure until years later.

Just a few minutes from Domaine Les Mûriers, family and friends gathered for Joséphine and Valentin's church ceremony.

Stepping inside offered welcome relief from the Provençal summer heat. Soft light filtered through stained-glass windows while music filled the church, creating an atmosphere that felt timeless.

When Joséphine walked down the aisle, every eye followed her.

The smiles, the tears, the quiet squeeze of a hand—these are the moments that matter most.

While one of us focused on the emotions unfolding between the couple, the other quietly captured the reactions of parents, grandparents, and friends. It's one of the advantages of working as a husband-and-wife photography team: every important perspective becomes part of the story.

A Spontaneous Stop Among the Vineyards

Before returning to Domaine Les Mûriers, we made a quick stop along the way.

A nearby vineyard was glowing beneath the bright June sun, and although the afternoon light was still bold, it perfectly matched Joséphine and Valentin's playful personalities.

Sunglasses appeared.

High-fives turned into laughter.

A few quiet embraces followed moments later.

Nothing about this session felt staged. It wasn't about creating perfect poses—it was simply about giving them a few minutes together before the celebration continued.

Those spontaneous moments often become some of our favourite photographs.

Poolside Cocktails and a Relaxed Summer Afternoon

Back at Domaine Les Mûriers, the pace of the day shifted completely.

Guests gathered beside the swimming pool with champagne in hand, catching up with old friends while children ran between conversations. Some dipped their feet into the water, others found shade beneath the trees, and everyone seemed to settle naturally into the relaxed rhythm that makes destination weddings in Provence so enjoyable.

From a storytelling perspective, cocktail hour is one of our favourite parts of the day.

People are relaxed.

The hugs become longer.

The laughter grows louder.

And the most genuine moments often happen when no one realises they're being photographed or filmed.

Golden Hour at Domaine Les Mûriers

If there's one moment we always look forward to at Domaine Les Mûriers, it's sunset.

As the afternoon heat begins to fade, the vineyards surrounding the estate are transformed by warm golden light. The entire landscape softens, creating the kind of atmosphere that has made Provence famous among photographers and filmmakers alike.

We slipped away with Joséphine and Valentin and their best friends first for some fun moments then them alone for just fifteen minutes.

No elaborate posing.

No complicated direction.

Just a quiet walk through the vines while the rest of the celebration continued nearby.

These few moments gave them a chance to breathe, reflect on everything that had already happened, and simply enjoy being newly married.

The result was a series of photographs that felt intimate, natural, and unmistakably Provençal.

Dinner Beneath the Stars

As evening arrived, guests gathered beneath an elegant marquee in the heart of the estate.

Long tables decorated with olive branches and natural textures reflected the beauty of Provence without feeling overly styled. As daylight faded, hundreds of warm lights slowly illuminated the space, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and festive.

Dinner wasn't simply a meal.

It became another chapter of the celebration, filled with heartfelt speeches, shared stories, and the kind of laughter that only happens when everyone feels completely at home.

A Dance Floor No One Wanted to Leave

When the music finally began, the atmosphere changed instantly.

Jackets disappeared onto chairs.

Shoes were quietly abandoned.

Within moments, the dance floor was completely full.

Friends sang every lyric, spontaneous choreography appeared from nowhere, and at one point the bride found herself lifted high above the crowd while everyone cheered beneath the Provençal night sky.

These are the moments no timeline can schedule.

They're simply the result of bringing together the right people in the right place.

Photographing this energy requires a different approach. Rather than asking anyone to stop or repeat a moment, we simply move with the celebration, anticipating what will happen next while preserving the atmosphere exactly as it unfolds.

The best party photographs aren't perfectly still.

They move.

They breathe.

They make you hear the music years later.
